It's a shame really, that the company went out of business or whatever happened, more patches and development would have been something fantastic to see.

I've seen some mods that have attempted to show a more passage of time and technological growth by changing the classes all out. The game is a classic, but I find myself bored after a while because of how it has the flaws and it's old in terms of what classes are, and are not there. I'm not sure if there's an actual B5 mod for this game, haven't heard of it, but I've seen them for the Armada Games (mostly Armada II). I've played a fan version called Birth of Empires, pretty decent.but it's still underdevelopment (needs it), but there's vast improvements in some areas. There's a large fan movement not just for mods, but a sequel of the sorts, or an overhaul to the game. but I like the game, and play it every once in a while. If i knew how, I'd do something to make a game in this style, but i don't, so. This game has it's flaws, mostly in the memory issue, the ship naming and the classes (The fed has two few, IMO, one extra then others yes, but it uses the same class just upgrades it, bleh).
